I'd like to amend my precise review of this shop . Both as a mecahic and as a human who makes mistakes I can say that I was very wrong about European and everyone who works there . After a couple of miscommunications about the symptoms of my car, I was very confused and upset . However , later in the week John (the owner) had me come back to re-check the vehicle and I must say he did very respectfully and honestly. He's a good business owner and genuinely cares about his customers . He personally spent the time required to diagnose my issue and get it fixed quickly . That meant a lot to me . In that time, simply talking to the technicians like Lou, and Mike, and meeting the office personnel I can tell they really are a family , and their reputation means a lot . They are a good , honest shop and they truly took me from a negative experience to absolutely nothing but positive . Thank you , European . You guys nailed it .

I brought my vehicle in to have the glow plugs replaced. They said they did that. 4 months later they had done $1100 of related work, kept my vehicle for over a month at a time and were no closer to fixing the problem. They also violated state law by doing work without quoting. At one point they tried to charge over $400 for what amounted to a fuel filter change. When i complained they knocked off $150 because they "didn't actually use a part on the order". So finally I had enough, took the vehicle to the dealer and found out that they never fixed the original problem. I took them to small claims court which he didn't show for and dodged me until the court threatened an arrest warrant. I eventually got my money back.

Is is so unfortunate when someone rates a company with a negative review. This instance is particularly hurtful. We went way overboard for this customer, put parts in his vehicle and fixed the car. A YEAR AND A HALF LATER he complained about things not working. If the car was left for a month at a time, it was by his own choice because he left it here because of an intermittent problem. We were in communication with him and the dealer the whole time. He is aware of the complexity of this case and new what we were doing. Due to an unforeseen and unexpected situation, we were unable to make it to the court hearing. We requested a reschedule of the courts and they denied it. This customer won by default, not because he was in the right. We paid the claim to get it off our plate, not because there was any type of threat from anyone or because we were in the wrong. We know that with our documentation (signed and authorized repair orders), we would have won this case. This is a classic case of someone trying to hurt a small local business, we gave him discounts, gave his money back , AND get a bad review. The glow plugs mentioned were installed in 2015....So why a negative review now, two years later? Is it possible he is experiencing more issues with his vehicle? The truck has around 200,000 thousand miles on it. It would be easy to think that the repairs completed two years ago would last, however it must be said that an automobile is a machine, and with use...machines wear and break. Repair shops deal with dishonest customers all the time. However we are fortunate that we have an amazing following of honest, reputable European Car owners whom we trust and who trust us. I would encourage you (the reader) to weigh both sides of this issue before making a decision. Keep in mind that this person has new parts and labor in his car that he did not end up paying for. This was a big loss on our part and now this customer is throwing salt in the wound by submitting bad ratings on social media.

They have experienced auto technicians, saved me thousands of dollars due to other shops misdiagnosing the problem, and the owner is willing to explain why your car isn't performing up to par. If you own a Audi, this staff will take care of you!

It was difficult to find a place that knew how to work on my Smart ForTwo (the tiny little 2 seater cars). I purchased it because it had great gas mileage and was the highest quality car in my price range. Then I took it to Grease Monkey on North College for an oil change and their techs couldn't even figure out how to open my hood. I had to show them. So needless to say I left without getting anything done. I thought, what have I gotten myself into buying such a wierd car?! After some googling I found European and was very pleased with my experience. They drove me to work and picked me up so I didn't even have to wait around while the oil change was being done and for a synthetic oil change it was very affordable. I have been there twice since then for regular maintance and a broken windshield wiper blade and continue to be pleased with the service.

The only place to take your Land Rover or other European import

Honest, quality work. They took on a very in-depth diagnosis of a turbo charger issue when it grew to be outside of my mechanical abilities. They were honest, thorough, and didn't try to up-sell me on anything. I even called different part vendors and confirmed the pricing they quoted was spot on. Their rates are a tad higher than other shops around town, but it is well worth it!
