I’ve had both my 981S Porsche and 228 BMW serviced by Steve and the group at European Motor Cars. Scheduling is always easy and communication is prompt. Rates are fair and service is done on schedule. I plan to continue using them in the foreseeable future and will likely have them service some of my older vehicles if the need arises.

I have a 2014 bmw x1 they told me it needed a new timing belt and they charged me over 8000$ I took it to a different mechanic and it just needed a new battery. They also reported it to Carfax and there is nothing wrong with the timing. I already had 4 other repairs and I bet it didn't even need them. None were under warranty. I'll never go back bc they didn't even address the reason I brought it in but they charged me 200$ just to tell me what wasn't wrong. I was shocked.

We’re sorry this customer felt disappointed, but we do want to clarify a few key details for anyone reading. European vehicles are precision-engineered machines that require accurate diagnostics and proper repair — guessing or “patching” an issue can lead to much bigger problems down the road. In this case, our inspection and video documentation showed the vehicle’s timing chain was significantly out of alignment — nearly two inches off. While a weak battery may have caused a temporary starting issue, it would not and could not correct a mechanical timing fault. Starting or driving a car in that condition risks major engine damage. Our team went above and beyond to communicate clearly — including sharing video evidence, providing rides, and offering professional recommendations for safe, lasting repairs. The customer declined that work, which is of course their choice, but we stand by our diagnosis and the quality of our process. My experience with bringing my BMW M5 to European Motor Cars for an alignment was amazing. Josie did an amazing job from getting me into the schedule, coordinating the service and explaining the results of the alignment and possible issues that may need to be addressed in the future. I'm not usually one to trust many people with working on my M5 but I would not hesitate to bring my car back for future work that I cannot perform on my own.
