We've had a Mini Cooper in the family for 5.5 years (21 year old son has been driving it since age 15). This past year we've paid Mini Cooper in Loveland 6k for a variety of costly repairs. Last week when an oil pressure/engine alert showed up, we went to European Motor Cars instead. We live in Fort Collins, so this was much more convenient. Additionally, the service manager, Steve, took excellent care of the car (and us!) by keeping us updated on the Mini's status. We greatly appreciate European Motor Cars professionalism, fairness in pricing and integrity. It can be hard to know if/when you're being taken advantage of when it comes to vehicle repairs. We were treated kindly and fairly. I highly recommend European Motor Cars. 5 stars! Much thanks to Steve and your team!

Every time I've taken my wee Smart ForTwo in for service/fixing, these folks are efficient and do her ("Batgirl") up right....(!) Nice to find a shop that understands her and doesn't get confused by her internal operating systems. *Snerk*

I’ve had both my 981S Porsche and 228 BMW serviced by Steve and the group at European Motor Cars. Scheduling is always easy and communication is prompt. Rates are fair and service is done on schedule. I plan to continue using them in the foreseeable future and will likely have them service some of my older vehicles if the need arises.

I have a 2014 bmw x1 they told me it needed a new timing belt and they charged me over 8000$ I took it to a different mechanic and it just needed a new battery. They also reported it to Carfax and there is nothing wrong with the timing. I already had 4 other repairs and I bet it didn't even need them. None were under warranty. I'll never go back bc they didn't even address the reason I brought it in but they charged me 200$ just to tell me what wasn't wrong. I was shocked.

We’re sorry this customer felt disappointed, but we do want to clarify a few key details for anyone reading. European vehicles are precision-engineered machines that require accurate diagnostics and proper repair — guessing or “patching” an issue can lead to much bigger problems down the road. In this case, our inspection and video documentation showed the vehicle’s timing chain was significantly out of alignment — nearly two inches off. While a weak battery may have caused a temporary starting issue, it would not and could not correct a mechanical timing fault. Starting or driving a car in that condition risks major engine damage. Our team went above and beyond to communicate clearly — including sharing video evidence, providing rides, and offering professional recommendations for safe, lasting repairs. The customer declined that work, which is of course their choice, but we stand by our diagnosis and the quality of our process.
